Cockroach Control in Spring Hill & Surrounding Areas
The German cockroach is about ½ inch long or smaller. A cockroach infestation usually starts with the introduction of one pregnant female cockroach. She can come in on a bag from the grocery store, a suitcase, or other means of transportation. Once introduced, she will find protected harborage. The female cockroach will carry her egg sack for about 14 days. She will then drop the egg sack and within minutes, the egg sack will split open and introduce another 30 roaches for a total of 31 in 14 days. Our trained professionals from BugX Exterminators offer cockroach control throughouth Spring Hill, Brooksville, Weeki Wachee, Dade City, Land O' Lakes, New Port Richey, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, Crystal River, Homosassa, Inverness and the surrounding areas.
Cockroack reproduction cycle
It will take about 60 days for these cockroaches to mature and mate. Assuming that half are female, in another 14 days each of the females will drop an egg sack containing 30 roaches. This now brings our total, including another egg sack from our original female, to 31 + (16 x 30) = 511 in 88 days. In another 60 days all the roaches are mature and if half are female, in another 14 days, we will have 511 + (256 x 30) = 8,191. This occurs all in 162 days! If you continue this progression for two more cycles or a total of 310 days, you will have over 2,099,000 roaches! It is easy to see how an infestation can grow out of control in a short period of time!
Everything in nature comes to balance. They will continue to multiply as long as there is enough food and shelter to support them. Once their number exceeds the carrying capacity of their harborage, they will begin to migrate. This migration can be as simple as moving from a kitchen to a bathroom or as severe as moving from one structure or house to another. For German cockroaches it usually takes several trips to eradicate the population. The first step is a thorough inspection. After assessing the magnitude of the infestation, a strategy must be set.
